Music Couple reclaim high school prom in 13 Reasons Why inspired collaboration

Alternative pop artists Corvyx and Joey Dean (Pro's and iCons) have released their new gay pride, prom-themed music video duet for their new single, a cover of Lord Huron's 'The Night We Met'. And extra special piece of this collaboration is that the two independent artists are in fact a gay couple, and this marks their second collaboration.

The music video sets the lovestruck couple. Corvyx and Joey Dean, down memory lane as they relive the night they share their first dance.

​On the collaboration, the vocalists shared:
“We fell in love with Lord Huron’s song when it premiered on 13 Reasons Why. After watching the final season, we were inspired to recreate prom night. We never celebrated prom as openly gay high schoolers, so we decided to reclaim our past, and this time as our most authentic selves. What better time than during pride month?

The two independent artists met while fighting to fame in the NYC music underground and have since adapted their classically trained voices into thriving pop careers. Corvyx’s YouTube presence has amassed nearly 80 thousand subscribers with more than 12 million video views. Joey Dean has toured the nation with his band Pros & iCons, and has performed on stages besides pop sensations Shawn Mendes. Meghan Trainor, and more.

The couple’s first collaboration “Fall On Me” quickly soared to popularity after its release in January, surpassing 130 thousand views on YouTube and grabbing the attention of the song’s original artists Christina Aguilera and A Great Big World.
