New York based pop artist Kisos has become a name synonymous with the queer indie scene due to his music and online presence. An avid supporter of his fellow artists, Kisos has spent the better part of 2020 lifting the voices of queer artists up via his own unique charm and outreach as well as his successful Twitch music video showcase Queerantine where each week he showcases the visuals of other artists from the LGBTQ+ community.
But now the time has come for Kisos to step out from behind the console and into the spotlight as he has just released his much anticipated new EP "Sweet Nothings". Born from the success of the initial two singles he released, 'Happily Ever After' and 'He Didn't Want Me', "Sweet Nothings" finishes off a particularly challenging point in the artists life.
Sweet Nothings is largely self produced and was penned in real time as Kisos mourned a devastating breakup, each song representing one of the five stages of grief: bargaining, denial, anger, depression, acceptance. About the process he says:
"Originally I was having a 'teardrops on my guitar' moment, screaming and/or crying voice memo songs into my phone, but over time I realized I'd created this perfect capsule of my pain, insecurities, anger, and revelations as I worked through this heartbreak."

A 5 song EP of discovery, "Sweet Nothings" is grounded by tentpole song 'Perks' which has Kisos switching from the melodic pop love song style intertwined throughout the album to the hard hitting lyrical tsunami that is released in the 'Perks' anger stage. The movement in style shows his audience that there is no one trick pony present anywhere and that as an artist, his full range and ability has yet to be unleashed. As one story closes another opens and the journey of Kisos has just gotten started.
Lead singles "Happily Ever After" and "He Didn't Want Me" have been featured on Billboard Pride, Spotify editorial playlists, and other tastemaker blogs. Kisos is also one of the top 1% most popular livestreamers on Twitch, where he runs QUEERANTINE, a weekly LGBTQ+ music video showcase which raised over $6000 for Black Lives Matter in June, and is set to be featured in PAPER Magazine.
