Everything about this song is a highlight and worth talking about. The chill synth vibes that open the song, the deep electro grooves that kick in, vocalist Carin Johnson’s alluring tone, everything about ‘Crave’ is ultra sexy.

From the moment it begins with the beep of a vintage film countdown and the moody slow intro, you’re intrigued. You quickly become plunged into an “Alice in Wonderland” type of indulgence. No pills taken but you sink deeper and deeper into the songs seduction as it progresses. There’s a dark hypnotic energy within ‘Crave’ that lures you in and keeps you completely transfixed.

If I had to complain about anything it’s that the song ends so soon and slightly abruptly. I’m drawn in, I’m invested, and I just need that extra little bit, that last hit. And then it’s over. Maybe that’s the magic of the song. It treats you like a flirtation with a stranger, seducing you hard, quick and fully and then turning on its heels just as rapidly, and you’re left wanting more but are denied. Somewhat teasing you. Making you crave more.

Regardless of the emotional slingshot you receive, ‘Crave’ is a definite find. It’s musical spell is a fantastic showcase for Carin Johnson and will no doubt find a home on many a playlist.
