REVIEW: Philip Brooks brings focus to the heart in new single 'I'm So In Love With All of My Friends'
"I wanted to write a love song for my platonic friends, because deep platonic love is so underrated in my opinion. In the past I was always seeking affection and I famously fell for my friends all the time - like, that was basically my brand. Every time I took the courage to be candid to find out if my crushes felt the same, people kept disappearing from my life until I found myself all alone. Feeling both emotionally and physically distanced from my loved ones over the last few months led me to reflect on that, and writing this song helped me manifest that deeply loving people platonically is okay and enough and actually it’s really awesome. The track means a lot to me, especially because so many of my super talented friends are on it."

To say that German born singer/songwriter Philip Brooks is a brilliant new artist in music would be to underplay the value and talent being delivered to us. Indeed, on new track 'I'm So In Love with All of My Friends', Philip Brooks is giving us all the indie emo alt-rock and pop nostalgic feels that we want from a song of this level of emotional presences and depth. That's not to say the song is heavy. Quite the contrary. 'ISILWAOMF' is light and delicate, sometimes soothing to the ear and heart but is driven by instrumentation that has been carefully layered to heighten heartfelt and honest sentiment.
Philip Brooks has made it seem effortless to bend sonic bliss and pleasure to land in a space reminiscent of the best of artists like Snow Patrol, Keane and Travis. They hit emotional anthemic connection with A+ precision and handling. There is not a single moment during the song that I don't believe with full confidence in their words and emotive conveyance. The promise of such an affecting artist stepping into the light means only the best and most exciting things for our future needs.
