Suffice it to say that we are BIG fans around here of the Canadian east coast treasure that is T. Thomason, and the new single 'Pleasure' is definitely a sign of T.'s growth as a writer, freedom of self and self-discovery and is a new burst of creativity for the young singer/songwriter. With a flirtatious build towards a pop explosion that carries you away into summer sun drenched goodness, this is a rapturous dance beat you want with you on the best beach days and the hottest of nights. The love and positive vibes on 'Pleasure envelope you like the warmest of good memories and are echoed by T.'s own words... “I wrote ‘Pleasure’ on the last day of summer 2017, on a bike ride from my former basement apartment in North End Halifax to Chocolate Lake. This was a time in my life when I was rediscovering self-care, joy, taking time to find beauty in the world and letting myself daydream. The solo lake trip felt like I was coming back to myself after a long time of just trying to get by and be okay. ‘Pleasure for the sake of pleasure’ became a mantra and then turned into this song.” There's a lot of pleasure in T. Thomason's 'Pleasure' and it's a spring loaded bop that just won't stop! Set it #OnRepeat and drift away to this infectious and groovy beat. Streaming now on all Platforms From Press Release: ‘Pleasure’ emerges from Thomason’s continued collaboration with Toronto producer Dave Henriques (Iskwé, Justin Nozuka) which has developed the fresh pop sound that Thomason has grown into as he prepares for his debut full length record as T. Thomason, including his 2018 singles ‘Bliss’ and ‘Loser’, which have amassed over 200K Spotify streams. Earlier this year, T. appeared as one of 5 artists on an episode of CTV’s hit music-reality show The Launch, supported by mentors Scott Borchetta, Marie-Mai, and Sarah McLachlan. His song ‘Hope’ was launched from the episode, and produced by fourth mentor Alex Hope (Troye Sivan, Tove Lo, Missy Higgins). Taking us further into T.’s newly developed pop sound, ‘Hope’ reached #4 on the Canadian iTunes Pop charts and #11 overall, gaining over 40k streams in the first 4 days. Quickly becoming a national anthem of empowerment, the track was chosen as the theme song for the Inside Out LGBT Film Festival’s 2019 sizzle reel. With his new summer bop in hand, T. Thomason is currently on the road for a string of tour dates that will also see him performing at Festival D’Ete on July 5, Cavendish Beach Music Festival on July 6 and headlining Halifax Pride’s Gottingen Street Block Party on July 27.
